Pregnant and Parenting Students

Lewis-Clark State College is committed to creating a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive enviornment for pregnant and parenting students.  

Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities including academic, educational, extracurricular, athletic, and other programs or activities of schools.  This prohibition includes discrimination against pregnant and parenting students.  

Students may request reasonable accommodations as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions.  To request accommodations, contact LCSC Accessibility Services.

Lactation Room

LCSC Lewiston

A private lacatation room is located in Reid Centennial Hall, room 204.  This is a locking room with a comfortable chair, a table, and an electrical outlet.  This room may be used at anytime without a reservation.

LCSC Coeur d'Alene Center

A lactation room is located within NIC's Lee-Kildow Hall, room 211.  This room is available for use by checking out a key from the Register's Office Counter on the main floor of Lee-Kildow Hall and is available Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday's from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Childcare on Campus

KinderCollege is operated as an auxiliary program of LCSC and is located on the LCSC campus at 805 4th St. Lewiston, ID 83501.  KinderCollege provides quality childcare to children of LCSC students, employees, and community members and is licenesed by the City of Lewiston to provide care for children six weeks to six years of age.  Visit http://www.lcsc.edu/kinder-college/ for information on hours, availability and rates.
