Social Sciences Division

Ta’c ‘eetx papáyn kíne hitéemenweespe Welcome to the Social Sciences

"At the confluence of two rivers and multiple cultures, this is a truly special place!" - Chris Riggs

I and all my colleagues from our four programs welcome you warmly to our division. May your educational journey and exploration throughout our website be enjoyable. We truly believe that students learn the best when they become engaged not only in our classes but also in our many clubs and academic activities.

The strength of our division is our diversity and regular interaction between the Justice Studies, Psychology, Social Sciences and Social Work programs. It enables students to acquire expertise and experience far beyond their major, by lobbying legislators in Boise, traveling as a class to Ecuador, simulating European Union negotiations with other major U.S. and Canadian universities and colleges or helping out their local Lewis-Clark Valley neighbors.

Ta’c ‘eetx, bienvenido, bienvenue, willkommen, welcome & hope to meet you soon!
