We can't wait for you and your student to join us at New Student Orientation. Here's some information to help you plan for the week.
Students who are living in the residence halls are required to attend an information session from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Parents of residence halls students are encouraged to attend an information session during the same time in the Williams Conference Center. This session will especially be helpful for those families who will not be able to stay for New Student Orientation.
We encourage students to spend the morning tying up loose ends with Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Disability Services, or other important campus departments. We have also reserved some time for students to do any last minute placement testing. If students have provided written permission for one or more of their parents to have access to their FERPA-protected information, they can be of tremendous value to their student and the college in trying to finish up any enrollment-related business. We also suggest that parents take advantage of the time to do any last-minute shopping for their students (dorm room accessories, school supplies, etc.) and otherwise get familiar with the Lewis-Clark Valley by driving around town and taking note of the different businesses and services available.
We thank you for your interest in supporting your student in this exciting chapter of his/her educational career. Welcome to our campus and to our community!
