Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program

The ETV Program for Idaho foster youth helps current and former Idaho foster youth continue their post-secondary education by providing monetary assistance. Awards may be up to $5000 per year while attending school. Funds are not a loan and will not need to be repaid.

Who is eligible?

  • Current and former Idaho foster youth eligible for Chafee Independent Living Program services.
  • Idaho foster youth who were adopted at age 16 or older, or who aged out of foster care at age 18.
  • Young adults may participate up to their 21st birthday, but may continue to receive funding up to the age of 23 if enrolled and making satisfactory progress in post-secondary educational program.

  • Books and supplies
  • Tools
  • Uniforms
  • Tutoring


  • Tests
  • Child Care
  • Parking Permits
  • Computers
  • Transportation
